Joanna Sielicka

Poland

Joanna Aleksandra Sielicka was born 1999 in Krakow (Poland) and started her musical education at the age of 8. In 2009 she joined the piano class of Hannes Sonntag at the „Westfälische Schule für Musik“ in Münster and became in 2011 a youth student at the music conservatory.

Since young age Joanna received prizes at numerous competitions such as „Jugend musiziert“, the international Chopin competition for children and youth in Krakow (3rd prize), the Schimmel piano competition (1st prize) and the international Grotrian-Steinweg competition (1st prize) in Germany.

In 2012 she made her orchestral debut with Mozart’s Rondo in D major, K.382, under the baton of Tor Song Tan.

Beside soloistic successes Joanna was also involved in several chamber music projects which included as well baroque as modern music (harpsichordist in „Junges Westfälisches Barockensemble“), pianist at Ensemble Modern Academys Project „Epoche_f“). Taking part in masterclasses, Joanna received valuable artistic impulses from a.o. prof. Dmitry Alexeev, prof. Vladimir Ovchinnikov, prof. Bernd Goetzke, prof. Ilya Scheps and prof. Grigory Gruzman.

In October 2017 she started her studies at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg in the piano class of prof. Hubert Rutkowski.
