Marcin Wieczorek

Marcin Wieczorek was born in 1996. He is studying under the tutelage of Stefan Wojtas at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
He has won top prizes at many national and international competitions for young pianists, for instance: 1st prize at “La Palma d’Oro” Competition in 2019, 2nd prize at “Nuova Coppa Pianisti” in 2019, 3rd prize at Luciano Luciani Piano Competition in 2020, the distinction award at the Bolzano Bozen Festival in Italy in 2016, and special prize at Euregio Piano Competition in Geilenkirchen (2019), 1st prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Rzeszow (2014). He was the winner of the Competition for Concerto with Orchestra at Indiana University in USA.
Marcin has participated in many international masterclasses with renowned pianists, in particular with Dang Thai Song, Kevin Kenner, Eugen Indjić, Norma Fisher, Dina Yoffe, Janusz Olejniczak and Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń.
Marcin has performed numerous times with orchestra, and worked with many conductors. He has given concerts around the world, in a United States, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Spain, Czech Republic and Poland - in venues such as the Auer Hall in Indiana University in Bloomington, the Ganz Hall in Roosevelt University in Chicago, a Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra Hall in Katowice (NOSPR), a National Philharmonic, Pomeranian Philharmonic or Łódź Philharmonic. He has recorded for Polish Radio and Polish Television (TVP). He is a recipient of scholarships from the Mayor of the City of Bydgoszcz, and Mayor of the City of Radom.
