Viacheslav Shelepov

Viacheslav Shelepov was born in Barnaul in 1991. From 2009 to 2011 he was a student in the class of Vera Horoshina at the Academic Music College and from 2011–2016 Viacheslav studied at the Moscow State Conservatory - classes of Alexei Lubimov and Alexei Shevchenko (fortepiano), Alexander Mndoyants and Sergei Kasprov (piano) and Maria Uspenskaya (harpsichord). In 2016 Shelepov entered Hannover’s Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien. He is currently continuing his studies there in the class of Zvi Meniker.
Shelepov is a prize-winner at the International Piano Competition „Hopes, Talents, Masters“ in Dobrich (Bulgaria, 2007, 2nd prize), the Maria Yudina International Piano Competition in St. Petersburg (2009, 1st prize), „Stanley Hoogland Squarepiano Award“ in Amsterdam (2015, 1st prize) the International Fortepiano Competition „Musica Antiqua“ in Bruges (2016, 2nd prize and the prize of the audience), the International Fortepiano Competition „Premio Ferrari“ in Rovereto (2016, 1st prize), the International Fortepiano Competition „Muzio Clementi Prize“ in Rome (2017, 1st prize), the International Piano Competition „Classic on the Danube“ in Vienna (2019, 3rd prize and Special Award) and the International Cochran Piano Competition 2019 (Julian Cochran Residency Award).
Viacheslav has taken part in the Geelvinck Foertepiano Festival in Amsterdam, the Utrecht Festival of Early Music, the Festival of Romantic Fortepiano „Les Nuits Romantiques“ in Verbania (Italy), and has also performed at concerts organised by the Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori in Florence, the Sala Filarmonica in Rovereto, the Piano Salon Christophori in Berlin and Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
